4 METHODS OF COLOR BLOCKING YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Color blocking is one trend that has come to stay in the fashion industry, many fashion lovers have shown how creative they can be with colors by color blocking different kinds of clothings.

In today’s post I’ll be giving you different methods of styling colors. You can click HERE to see another color block styled by me

Here’s a color wheel to help you decide colors to match while dressing.

There are 4 basic ways of color blocking I’ll list them below…

1. MONOCHROMATIC COLOR BLOCKING

Monochromatic color blocking means wearing the same colors but in different shades, it could be in layers or just a simple top and trouser/skirt.

2. COLOR BLOCKING FROM THE SAME FAMILY

This means wearing different primary colors in one outfit or secondary colors in one outfit. This can be tricky so I’ll advice the use of not more than 2 colors for beginners to avoid a chaotic look.

3. COLOR BLOCKING FROM DIFFERENT FAMILY

This means wearing a primary and secondary color in one look. This look can easily go wrong so I’ll always advice beginners to use a white or black clothing as the 3rd or 4th piece in the outfit.

4. CONTRASTING COLOR BLOCKING

This happens to be my favorite part of color blocking. Contrasting color blocking is mostly for people who love colors and do not mind rocking them.

The pictures in today’s post falls under number 2, these pictures were taken under the rain guys… I still cannot believe myself too but I love what I do and I’ll do it all over again if I had to.

I hope you find this post helpful when next you decide to wear colors, till my next blog post do remain FABULOUS!!
